Call 973-831-6166 or email mgpie0084@gmail.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We will talk through what a typical day looks like for that age and answer your questions. From there, we can set up a time for you to visit.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. You can watch how the room is set up, where children eat and rest, and how the day flows. Feel free to look around and ask anything. Visits help you picture your child here.

Enroll and settle in
Once you enroll, we plan a first week that suits your child's routine. You can visit anytime, and you can also see your child through the internet camera system by logging on to https://www. gingerbreadkidsacademy. com. We will tell you about feedings, diaper changes, naps, and the staff's observations as your child settles in.
What to have ready
Most families bring the enrollment forms, a health form, and an up-to-date immunization record. All children need a physical exam and a physician's note showing their immunization schedule before starting. Have your emergency contacts and the names of people allowed to pick up your child ready too. If you are unsure what a form needs, call and ask.
Pack a full change of clothes for your child, including socks and a shirt. Add outdoor gear for the season, like a hat, mittens, or boots, so outside time is comfortable. If your child naps here, bring a small blanket or similar item. A comfort object from home is welcome, and labeling everything with your child's name helps it find its way back.
Before the first day, decide who will drop off and who will pick up. Ask us how drop-off works so your child can say goodbye and get settled. We ask that all children arrive prior to 9 am to avoid interruptions within the class. Tell us how you would like to hear about the day, and we will keep you informed.
The first weeks
The first days are shorter, so your child can get used to the room and the people. Bring a familiar object from home, like a small blanket or a favorite toy. A teacher greets your child by name when you arrive and stays close during drop-off. You can visit any time or check the internet camera system.
At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, slept, and played, and anything worth knowing about the day. We will also share the staff's observations of your child's progress. Most children settle into the routine within a few weeks, though every child is different. Parents will be informed of accidents and unusual incidents.

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or stop by to ask which days and times are available for your child.
